A Different Kind of Reunion: Catching Up With the Cast of Surviving Paradise
Audio Transcript
SPEAKERS: Shea, Hayley, Gabe, Copan, Becca, Eva
Eva 00:00 cuz like, I’m trying so hard to like, I’m right now my body is like 92% dumpster. So I’m trying super hard to like, maybe like make it more like a recycling can. Yeah.
Hayley 00:10 How’s your la experience been though Eva?
Eva 00:15 Good. Um, I with some people that want to be my manager, everybody wants me to show my titties. Not only fans.
Hayley 00:22 Everyone, including me. So me too, Hayley,
Eva 00:26 I’ll just start sending you drunk news, bro. I got you.
Hayley 00:28 Ladies and gentlemen, of course, chapter one. Our first season Becca and I dove into the fever dream that is our lives, especially growing up in high school. But as of recent, I’ve had a completely different fever dream. So it’s only fair to have a completely different reunion than we did in season one. It is my honor. It is my pleasure to introduce some of my Surviving Paradise cast!
Copan 01:16 Happy to be here. Thank you all for having us.
Eva 01:19 Thank you.
Gabe 01:20 Happy to see your face again, Miss Hayley. Happy to meet you, Becca.
Becca 01:23 We’re so happy to have you all here. Thank you so much. And yeah, I feel like I know you all because as I was telling you, I’ve been to watch the show a few times. And it’s only been out for 22 days. Who’s counting? I have actually met one of our cast members. Copan. He is Hayley’s good friend. And I met him at her birthday last year. So I wanted to talk to you Copan. I felt like you didn’t really get an opportunity on the show to dive into what you do for work. So did you want to share that mysterious role that you do for work?
Copan 02:02 Who am I exactly? My official title is senior admissions counselor, but basically a college recruiter. So I do the academic side of stuff, though. So sometimes I say, you know, do you go to sports recruiting? No, it’s just going into high schools, doing presentations. It’s all about Oklahoma State University. So basically just kind of showcasing what we have to offer. I love it. Because when I was in high school, nobody like came to my schools from colleges and talked. So I tried to make it where it’s more of like higher ed focused. Of course, I’m telling everything about Oklahoma State, but it’s really helping them out, kind of guide their journey after high school. And so it’s super fun. We talked throughout the whole year with them, too. I sound weird, but I text high school students because we have worked cell phones. So we do that throughout the year too, as well. But, um, it’s always upbeat, it’s always going to different schools. I’m in charge of southwest Oklahoma, and I do Ohio too. So I just traveled out to Ohio a couple weeks ago as well. So we kind of have them all over the states. Really?
Becca 03:01 That’s really cool. I had no idea and also isn’t Ohio pretty far from Oklahoma? Am I getting my geography right?
Copan 03:06 It’s not the it’s not the closest Yeah, it’s like a good a good journey
Becca 03:12 I was curious, like, what skills from that role would you know, would you say helped you in the jungle? And just gonna jump in? When you’re stuck in the jungle? on surviving paradise? What would you say were the skills that helped you?
Copan 03:26 If you watch the show, you didn’t see a ton of gameplay from Copan. But really, like we talked a lot like my game was social game. I mean, I was trying to be friends with every single person and try to have a positive outlook on every single situation. So I mean, I definitely had some you know, some strategy some some finals, alliances and stuff like that. But mainly it was just let’s be friendly person to everybody out there. That’s what I do for work. That’s who I am as a normal person. So like, let’s put in the jungle
Becca 03:55 I love to ask like what I asked Hayley, this and I’d love your answer. Like if you could have brought one item down to camp with you. Was there one thing that you were really wishing to have when you were out there?
Copan 04:09 Deodorant to be honest. I hated like going to bed and just having a bunch of in those clothes because all you smelled was yourself. Oh yeah, that’s definitely number one thing I did not know the smell was gonna be that bad. It was atrocious.
Becca 04:30 Really? Hayley remind me what your answer would have been.
Hayley 04:32 I think for me my only thing I didn’t like about camp – I guess that’s dramatic. But the biggest thing was warmth for me if I could have got like a big blanket or something that was a little thicker. Nights were really tough for me.
Becca 04:47 Were you and Eva never in camp together?
Hayley 04:53 No, me or Gabe are never in camp together either.
Becca 04:53 Well, I was just thinking you and Eva could have cuddled and that would have been really cute.
Eva 04:59 I would have loved to
Hayley 05:04 I will say if we’re bragging about sleeping with Eva I did get to in the villa.
Eva 05:11 She did. We shared a bed.
Becca 05:14 You shared a room or you shared a bed? Oh, I didn’t know that. I’m a little jealous. She never let me share a bed with her.
Eva 05:26 I’m really honored right now. No, let me believe it.
Becca 05:29 I send her off to the porch when she sleeps over
Becca 05:36 Gabe, what would you say would be your item that you wish you had brought?
Gabe 05:40 Oh, that’s such a good question. So let’s see, if there’s one thing I wish I could have.
Becca 05:46 If there’s one thing one thing,
Gabe 05:49 A pot of coffee, I got a crippling addiction to caffeine. And if I had just like coffee every morning, I’d go from just like, hating everything that’s going on to be like, You know what? I can do this. Like I can do this every day. Like if I just had like a little bit of coffee every morning to wake up like I heard coffee pairs really well with rice and beans. That that’s the thing that I wish I would have had.
Becca 06:16 You could just boil the rice with the coffee grounds and just get an extra boost
Gabe 06:21 Remember the Panther mug that we had in the villa?
Copan 06:24 Was that you? I didn’t take it but I wanted to
Eva 06:27 Somebody took it I need to know yeah
Hayley 06:33 it was me I took it. I did steal something from the villa I still have the little tiger pepper or their Cheetah maybe salt and pepper shakers. I utilized those
Copan 06:45 There is a shot of me on the show and I overlooked it completely but my friends died like they had to pause and like crack up and send me screenshots and everything of me grabbing that Panther cup. And just drink that and they’re like, why are you holding it like that? I was like, I don’t know. I’ll never forget that day mug because of that.
Gabe 07:04 It was awesome. It was awesome. He could put like a bowl of cereal in it. It was so big. awkward to find
Becca 07:11this we gotta find out who has that. We all want to see this and I’m gonna go back and watch that scene.
Copan 07:19 My hands were so small. I just couldn’t grip it with one hand I mean
Hayley 07:25 What item would you bring Eva?
Eva 07:29 yeah, I probably would have brought like, like an ounce of kush. Oh, if that didn’t roll up and just I mean, I didn’t I didn’t know there were rules to this game but
Becca 07:42 that’s a big question if like can you get a medicinal marijuana card?
Eva 07:46 No it’s completely illegal. It’s completely illegal in Greece. But if I could have brought weed alternative would have been Adderall on the flip side. Yeah, I probably would have been less hyper focused on the fact that we couldn’t eat the chickens
Hayley 08:05 I would like to take just a moment to introduce another cast mate into the group. We also have the man the myth the legend Shea Foster about to join in to the fun everybody. Is Shea with us?
Copan 08:22 Shea Budda!
Hayley 08:26 Welcome Shea
Eva 08:30 Oh, those curls are curling I love to see it.
Gabe 08:34 It’s funny you turn on the Shea charm. And like you couldn’t like couldn’t hear you. But just see like you’re doing a little thing right
Shea 08:44 All right, cool.
Hayley 08:48 I’d like you to meet Becca, my co host and best friend. She’s gonna be asking you some hard hitting questions. So buckle up.
Eva 08:57 No pressure
Shea 08:58 I’m in for a treat.
Hayley 08:59 I know. That’s right.
Becca 09:02 I know your hair has changed since I last saw you on Netflix. Whats up? welcome to the show.
Shea 09:12 I love how you’re wearing cheetah
Becca 09:17 Gotta represent my girl Hayley.
Hayley 09:19 I was like let it be known whose team you’re on Becca.
Becca 09:24 Naturally, I think you guys are all awesome. And Shea, do you want to answer the hard hitting question? What would be your one item if you could have brought to the camp? What would you have brought with you?
Eva 09:39 Anything goes
Shea 09:45 I don’t know probably chocolate covered strawberries.
Hayley 09:49 He’s trying to be romantic at camp.
Shea 09:52 I just was I just wanted to know food. I was hoping you were raising me.
Copan 09:56 I thought you’d get some chapstick.
Shea 10:02 not a bad idea
Becca 10:04 Are you saying that if there was chocolate covered strawberries in the box when you and Taylor got to the top of that hill would you have considered eating them and not going down with the vegetables? I feel like he’s actually like I didn’t expect you to have to think about that
Shea 10:25 I just think about everything if you want me you have to have to use my noggin a little bit Yeah, honestly.
Becca 10:31 Immediately, yes or no
Shea 10:43 like absolutely not but like looking back on it really like no one like when we came back with the veggies like it was cool but no one really ate the veggies because it was too shit
Copan 10:54 it was so bad
Shea 10:56 like looking back on it I probably will because just like come on like the vegetables were so bad we didn’t know that time and we didn’t know there were only going to let us take one of each after like we made a decision and so it was just like damn like we did that for basically like it was definitely like we wanted every one hour felt terrible at the moment. Yeah, but looking back on it it was just like Damn those doses expired veggies for sure.
Becca 11:22 Okay, we’re not well we’ll ever figure out like how to get solved like was that a thing? The shoot they had So sodium bicarbonate doesn’t sound very healthy because all
Eva 11:40 no it was mostly just meant to like not actually use the salt but it’s to like share the beans overnight did an attempt to try to make them like not rock hard but yeah see
Gabe 11:51 Yeah, I thought I was like a cooking solution but like our cleaning solution was on the right who’s down in camp with with me when all of a sudden everything started turning blue you guys remember that?
Eva 12:09 I mean, remember this? Yeah, we were down there with Kelso and everything was turning green and then everybody was wondering why but then it turned out that everybody was scrubbing the cast iron with green so I don’t mean but but then also they were we had we had started cooking Kelson and started cooking in the morning early and we put like we found some herbs with a mint in it and everybody thought that it was like it they dumped it all out but we were like yo we’re we’d like try really hard to make it taste not like she
Becca 12:35 You did your best to make the best of camp like I never would have known that from seeing the show like is that what you did to spend your time down there? Like I feel like either you could talk about that.
Eva 12:47 I mean, we did we spend our time a lot of ways. Yeah, I mean I don’t know I was down there the first day that I got down I started like it was trying to like stretch and do yoga and ship but it only has like so much you can talk about when it comes to like what’s your favorite colors so then we were talking about like, I won’t but I think the guys were talking about how like with Toto they would need if they were super hungry or like all of your life drama like right interesting conversations that were that were never shared. Yeah, nobody was talking about what would happen if we tried to eat the chickens all of a sudden a speaker be like you darling, we literally cannot kill the chicken.
Becca 13:20 Like why are they here?
Eva 13:22 The two eggs that we get and like at seven business years
Becca 13:30 that sounds like kind of horrible but if you so what are some other things that you would do to just pass the time down there? Anyone can speak I’m curious about
Eva 13:39 the voice out of brushed your teeth with the tampon.
Becca 13:43 I don’t even know how to do that’s good to know. Life Hack
Shea 13:49 I did not even know that.
Becca 13:54 Eva, is this something that you picked up in your Peace Corps experience?
Eva 13:57 No, just I just there’s like you know like cotton we sell toothpaste and everybody was trying to use their teeth and like your other teeth their fingers to brush your teeth and I feel like that just makeshift toothbrush was a little bit easier. Yeah, because like there’s only so long that I can go with hot breath
Becca 14:16 I’ve always done like a wash cloth or paper towel if I don’t have a toothbrush so I guess that
Eva 14:22 unfortunately we didn’t have those
Becca 14:27 tampons. Yeah, you know basically Eva I’m curious like what was your experience in the Peace Corps? How did that help you out in camp?
Eva 14:39 Um, I mean, Camp was definitely intense but Peace Corps like you know, I lived a mile into like an actual like jungle. Yes, no real running water, electricity and would like cook food in an underground oven. So definitely different. Underground for their own face. You know, like, that’s really cool. Yeah, I learned I learned how to build one technically, with coconut. So that was cool. Yeah, that was cool. I don’t know. I mean, outdoors are not a problem for me, generally speaking. So it definitely was helpful to just know how to camp because
Hayley 15:22 I think this is a great opportunity. Since the podcast is about our high school experience. I’d like to point out and shout out to Steve Guertler, our dear friend from high school in Nashua who was with Eva in Micronesia
Becca 15:31 What!!
Eva 15:43 I lost my mind when I found out about that, to put it in perspective, there’s only 12 of us Micronesia is the second most remote location, you can go in the world with the Peace Corps only after Vanuatu, and he was he went to a really fucking cool island with a lot of Easter Island is completely different culture wise, yo, and he called me I had a whole freak. I was like, absolutely no fucking way. He was like, I know somebody else on the show. I’m like, bullshit. So he and I had I had a very interesting experiences with him. He’s so funny. Yeah, we live to like, Yeah, sure.
Becca 16:17 So Eva, did you feel like there was an immediate disadvantage from coming into the game late?
Eva 16:25 Yeah, for sure. Definitely. I mean, I my biggest my fever dream was going into a game where it was only female cast. So walking in with only females like plus Alex like I actually wanted to die. But I think then, once I got once I realized that it was like all you thinking of I feel like that was I said on the thing, but that was great. I have six brothers. So usually along with guys pretty well.
Becca 16:49 Wow. Okay, that’s a cool fact that they didn’t put in on the show.
Eva 16:54 They didn’t put any cool facts on the show.
Hayley 16:55 that’s what we’re here for. We’re here to spread all the fun facts. I feel like that same question should go to Gabe as well. Did you feel like you had a disadvantage coming in late game?
Gabe 17:07 1,000%.
Becca 17:11 Well, when you went onto the boat, were there any, like first impressions that you can remember? Like, what was your?
Eva 17:17 Oh, yeah, the boat? Yeah.
Gabe 17:19 I remember going on to the boat. And it was it was so interesting, because I didn’t know what the game was about. Like they were and we had filmed the entrance like five times. So I was getting seasick doing circles on his frickin jet boat. Before even before I went out, like we drove up, we were just sitting in the middle of the ocean. Me and this guy who was driving the boat who could barely speak English.
Eva 17:45 You mean Stew?
Gabe 17:48 No, it wasn’t Stew. It was a different guy. No, they rented a boat from this guy. So he was just sitting there. And I’ll just lay there for an hour waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting until finally like, Alright, here we go. And then eventually I get on the boat. And it was just like, it was like seeing a bunch of people that are disappointed that I was there. But like, but I’ll say this. as disappointed as people were that I was there. For the most part. People were like, Hey, man, let me tell you how it is like let’s talk about like ever coping. Like you were one of those guys right away where you’re like, Oh, this is surprising that you’re here. But I’m going to still extend the olive branch and still be friendly to you. So like that was a good first impression. Down in camp was a much different experience.
Becca 18:39 It did seem very awkward down there.
Shea 18:42 Oh, yeah. That was worse. When you first got down, like I was sitting there and I was like, He’s coming he comes down to oh, well, we have no idea what’s going on the villa. We have no idea what they’re doing. We had no idea they were on a boat we have like you literally have no idea until you see that person go from camp to Villa you have no access to them. You have no talking to them. And so you have no idea it’s gonna it comes out in like, oh, white. Like in when you come from? It was crazy as everyone was just
Becca 19:15 a white party made for a great scene of you walking down that hill and the way they knew what they were doing.
Gabe 19:22 Yeah. And then I was met with the the first conversation of Tabitha that you know, saying what they said I was like, Oh, this is a much different vibe. This is different than I was on the water. All right.
Becca 19:38 So Gabe, do you feel like there were any moments like during your journey, although it was shorter that you feel like were very pivotal for your experience that you can talk about?
Gabe 19:48 pivotal in what way?
Becca 19:49 I would just say if it there’s one moment that defined your experience on surviving paradise, like can you talk about one thing that really sticks out? Oh, Maybe your best move Oh like gameplay wise you know
Gabe 20:05 It was hitting the sprinkler period I’m so glad that made the cut. That was my best move that I had that was killer. My students were making fun of me for that one they’re like you had the sprinkler on on on the on the dancing part. I was like, Yeah, I did that you’re like you’re a loser.
Hayley 20:26 Like I don’t know on Netflix. Okay. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
Gabe 20:29 Yeah, yeah, I hit the sprinkler on Netflix. I don’t know best move. Ah, man. I don’t know. I mean it was it like you look back and it was so long ago that like it all just kind of played out like I would say one of my favorite favorite memories from it though was like when we did the river swim you know like Shea was there and that was that was really cool. I really enjoyed that
Shea 20:59 yeah, it was why would the crazy guy forget about that is the box was like you can eliminate one outsider. Yeah, I think looking around I was like guys just and then and then we eventually got a challenge and Linda was she was a little nervous at first and we were just like Linda like you can do it. And we’re like I was like Linda I’ll help you the whole way out was helping the lease and then gave came back and thank God he came back as well. I know you say Hayley and the ocean earlier lesson right he came back and saved it but like literally walked like we get in the water and like it’s got a deep right there you can feel stuff on the bottom but you can’t touch it all of us have like that and Linda is like Duncan be underwater. Don’t move and I’m laughing as well. Because like like it was hysterical.
Becca 22:03 Honestly, except for the Linda part. That sounds kind of scary for her. I hope she’s doing okay.
Shea 22:08 No. Good. Yeah, they said keep the mic out of the water. Really? Oh, the mics are waterproof. Can’t get them wet. And then they put it there. Keep your mics going in the lake.
Becca 22:20 Oh, interesting, huh?
Gabe 22:23 then they got mad at us when you fell into the into the pool?
Hayley 22:27 That was great. It was a good scene.
Becca 22:31 So Shea and Gabe were both both basically like the lifeguards of the group.
Hayley 22:37 I feel like someone had to. Gabe – I didn’t know Gabe more than 15 minutes before this man had to jump into the sea. Never forget Gabe looking me dead in the eye and go and just grab onto my leg. I’ve never held on to anything harder my entire life in that man. He can swim. That’s all I can say. He can swim.
Becca 22:58 I have a special place in my heart because I’ve known that story since Hayley got back. That was probably the first story I heard about her show. And so I was like, Who is this mystery man who is like a fish and saved my friend?
Gabe 23:16 That was like one of my first like, first, I don’t know. 45 minutes being on the show was like all of a sudden, like Hayley’s having trouble swimming. I like I’m jumping in there to try to help her thinking like, oh, like, they’re gonna send somebody into like, come help us. And they’re just recording the entire thing. I’m like, This chick is drowning. Like she lounging in the ocean. grabbing onto my leg. Well, I’m back. And I just was like, good. Yeah, yeah, keep going. Like, why not
Hayley 23:46 so much good footage that didn’t get us from that day.
Shea 23:55 That’s the reason we got life vest.
Becca 24:04 That makes the challenge way easier. I’m gonna be honest, like it sounds kind of leisurely if you had a life vest on. And speaking of, thank you Shea, I gotta give you a shout out for saving my friend. Hayley. Thank you. You have saved multiple times. Maybe not her life, but like, metaphorically her life,
Hayley 24:27 actually. Yeah, spiritually.
Becca 24:29 Um, what can you like tell us a little bit more about what was going through your head and that very memorable moment of the crate challenge when you choose to give Hayley the villa box
Shea 24:43 I mean, I think all the the at least I know me, Justin and Aaron. We all were like man, like, we got it. We gotta get to the villa like whatever happens. Obviously, we didn’t know who was gonna pick who until like right before where they say come to the stage or whatever, and they cut out a lot of a lot of stuff in there. And like, I’m like, thankful at the same time because, but at the same time, I’m like, oh, like, it doesn’t explain everything. Um, because whenever they call me like, like little nipple and my allergies started acting up a little bit, whatever, because Haley was like, my dad, like, always told me to keep my word are you only as good as your word? And then like, whenever she said that, and I was just like, like, my, like, emotions, like Haley knew I always had her back. Like we knew from the jump, and then like, it was, it was just emotional. And then I cried. Yeah, I talked to everyone. I was like, I looked back at everyone. I was crying. I was crying. And I was like, oh, no, hopefully don’t give me like really, really crying because then whenever she said that about her dad, like keeping her word, like I was just like, man, like, I my dad passed away and he wasn’t the best person and I wanted to be nothing like him and do things the right way. And so that’s like, where you switched, and
Eva 26:08 it’s awesome.
Becca 26:11 But yeah, well, thank you. And I hope you can meet Hayley’s dad someday. He’s awesome.
Shea 26:16 I’ve met her met her daddy.
Becca 26:21 The internet is so interested in her daddy. Like, multiple articles being like, Who is this mystery, man?
Hayley 26:27 They’ll never know.
Eva 26:31 Yeah, we don’t need to
Becca 26:33 use his name. But he’s their daddy.
Hayley 26:35 His name is Zach. It’s basic enough, y’all. It’s basic enough.
Becca 26:41 Oh, my goodness. Shea, Like a question that I feel like you could answer is like, what was the best part about camp? And the worst part about the villa? Oh,
Shea 26:54 ooh, best.
Becca 26:55 You can take a moment. I don’t want to pressure this.
Shea 26:57 There’s no pressure on this one. But the best part about camp like genuinely like it. Obviously. It’s so often I wish the show showed how bad it was. Because you have so much downtime, and everyone’s thinking you can just go and leave or whatever yesterday in that, like, foot by 30 foot area. And that’s it and you can’t go anywhere. So the best part is probably like the people because the conversations the interactions that you have when you have nothing, you have nothing to lose Where you gonna go like you can’t go anywhere. And everyone smells like shit. Everyone looks kind of pocket so I think the best part of campus literally talking with people and just like really getting to know them. Um, yeah, that was definitely the best part of cam there’s not very many good things about cam. But that was the best part. And then the second best part was Helen Keller, and they were they were they were producing they were producing some protein.
Becca 27:54 Those are the chickens. Yes. Yeah.
Hayley 28:04 It started out as Helen Keller but I think the name got adapted over time.
Becca 28:11 to Helen and and Kevin.
Shea 28:13 And the villa – I really enjoyed all of it
Becca 28:18 I can’t imagine there’s anything that bad honestly.
Shea 28:24 Man, you really well, you can’t leave the villa as well. But I mean, honestly, the villa was great. Maybe obviously not seeing those people whenever you’re in other areas like that word zone. You know, you literally just don’t know what’s going on. And so like I was saying like at least they give messages or hence we could write some down make it a little bit more interesting for the competition at least competition wise but everything Oh, maybe the cameras in every bathroom and every room like if you want to do something you really can’t do it unless you want to see your dog out on on TV
Hayley 29:06 that’s a good one che and it brings me back to a memory because we did share a room together for a period of time that I enjoyed I cherish could you meet me tell the story about the time the camera really or maybe microphone got you that time? Oh, I don’t know this.
Eva 29:25 I was on I was there with you all.
Shea 29:30 Oh, yeah. No, it was like I thought Hayley Evers sleeping. They weren’t I think maybe until the voice of God loud food comes on. But so like, we don’t know me Taylor hanging out. It was fantastic and really Landauer excited to see each other. Um, you know, maybe some I use the exact word some canoodling was happening. It was you No, yeah. Yeah, yeah, you know, it was there was moving Jesus Don’t worry. Um, you know, we’re just chatting,
Gabe 30:09 talking politician answer the question
Shea 30:18 No. Oh my gosh, I was like daily to beautiful I like I’m so happy I’m here with you like this is crazy. Like, oh, I can’t wait to get out of here. And then it’s like the loudspeaker comes on. I was like, Shane, you can take off your mic. We don’t want to hear that. And I was just like, oh, fuck yeah, I’m hurt because it was nighttime. And I was like, good.
Eva 30:40 Yeah, they kept.
Shea 30:46 They kept like, everything like he was very, very PG like any of the drama. Like it was a big argument that happened at the end of the show. And they just eliminated that. Yeah.
Gabe 31:00 So I mean, Cisco, we’re having our conversation. And like, at the end of it, like, we’re going back and forth and whatnot, like everybody saw it. And then, like, we could hear the lease and Tabitha and Alex screaming at each other. And we’re like, Yo, bro, Okay, we’re good. What’s going on behind us? We cut our conversation off or like, I recall whatever like it is, it is all why are they screaming at each other behind us? And I was so excited to see that in the show. And it never made it like still to this day. I want to know what was going on.
Hayley 31:35 We had fun though, didn’t we?
Eva 31:39 Yeah. That’s funny, though. I didn’t like that. I didn’t like the villa. You didn’t like the villa. Why not? Why I liked camp better. Because you’re like the biller you don’t there’s like no interpersonal connection really, like you’re constantly being way more monitored. You have like, you were allowed to have like a more freedom of conversation. They wanted you to be doing set things at set times. And then if not, then you were just like corralled into one little worm at least like in camp. It’s stuck to the outside all the time. And like, definitely shouldn’t but you could like pretty much talk freely, you know, and nobody was like, forcing you to like do necessarily like any specific activity like you really just chillin that’s where I got to know people really well. Like all the time, you know, sitting around doing talking jack shit all like you learn you learn about people’s lives and backstories and who they are and the things they care about and the things that they don’t and you know, what makes that person them? And I think the only time that I really got to experience that with people was when we got to go to a camp.
Becca 32:38 And is it true that you’re just not like a reality TV girlie and personal life?
Eva 32:43 You know, I don’t own a TV at all.
Becca 32:47 Wow. Goes along with the whole Micronesia thing
Eva 32:52 I don’t have a TV. So then I’ve never seen a reality show before going on except for one episode of Bad Girls Club which is why I was terrified all female cast because I literally when I was like, I was like they’re gonna throw my fucking matching pool. They’re going to like they’re gonna spit on my stuff. They’re gonna fucking punch me in the face are so upset. Yeah, yeah, I’m not much of reality to get now I still don’t have a Netflix account. But now I’ve seen a few a few realities.
Becca 33:23 Have you watched the whole surviving paradise? I’m guessing Eva?
Eva 33:27 Yeah. Oh my god. Yeah I had to watch all of it before my parents said my grandma, because I’d said some silly things. And then I like a fucking ad. No, actually, no, I’m gonna take it back. I sat them down after the show. And I was like, here’s some things so that might have been kind of silly. Like you should probably know before the world does. And then they left none of them. So I just got to have on car with my parents.
Hayley 33:52 I love that Eva, that I actually want to ask everybody that were there things that you want people in your life about that? Like maybe you didn’t even actually have to worry about or maybe you did?
Becca 34:05 You have to answer that one too, though.
Hayley 34:06 Yeah, I’ll speak from I’ll start I definitely told I told that everything obviously. Let’s I had to tell somebody something. And I told them about the shower scene. They can’t because it was like pretty sexy.
Shea 34:29 Pretty much just Aaron. They left it out
Copan 34:30 It was insane. It was crazy. We all were going crazy.
Gabe 34:36 What was it? Was he just putting on a show in the shower?
Copan 34:38 They were doing what go ahead daily.
Hayley 34:40 Oh think it’s so they had us all take a shower but they wanted us to do it in like a sexy modeling way. I don’t know if they were planning a montage or something. But dumb of us. We let Aaron go first. This man we’re like how are we supposed to do anything after Aaron just did? Like get out here? Dumb as hell. He
Copan 35:00 When He did it like the shower like, you know, you’re having to dump it. So we’re dumping it and he just gets right under it and doesn’t move his eyes literally just looking straight ahead and the water’s coming down. And he’s just in his pose like this. And it was like, oh my god, this is crazy. And then yeah, like you said, we had to follow that sounds like well, we
Becca 35:19 we need to find this content. I want to see this
Hayley 35:23 one day, one day, but that that was My warning was there’s a shower scene, and we’re all gonna feel a way about Aaron after it, but the world will never know.
Copan 35:33 Yeah, I cost a lot more than they showed a lot more. And so I was telling, like, everybody at work and everyone in the family, especially me, mommy mom is gonna watch this. And she hates the cussing. So I was just like, having to tell her like I said, the F bomb, like a lot more than you know, it showed I had to warn that too. So that was definitely mine.
Gabe 35:54 I didn’t really have a whole lot that I was like super worried about. Because like, my here’s the thing, the amount of time that I was on the show was significantly less than everybody else. So like the window to say something stupid was much smaller for me. So that was that was one of the benefits of coming in late.
Eva 36:16 Yes. Yeah, it was my job one day with Cisco and he kept asking stupid questions.
Gabe 36:23 I remember you said something and you like brought it up to people a couple of times. You’re like, I can’t believe I just told the world this.
Eva 36:32 Parents and my grandparents, so it’s fine, though. You know, some things. Now we’re really close.
Hayley 36:39 Shea, did you have anything you want to warn people about your life?
Shea 36:42 I told my little sisters, I was like, Look, there is a girl and I’m not married. It’s okay. So like that. I mean, that was really the only thing like there was
Becca 37:00 How old are your sisters?
Shea 37:03 16 and 12.
Becca 37:05 Yeah, they’re way too young to be kissing people.
Shea 37:09 He’s like get older, but like the the 12 year old. He has special needs and like sure he freaks out about anything’s. And he seems super sweet and the lover to death. But she’d be like, What are you doing with us? Like, he’s super cute and super concerned about like, everything. Like if I said anything on Instagram, she was like, What is this? Like? Where are you? Like, who is that person? I was like, Sadie, it’s okay.
Becca 37:34 It’s really sweet. Shay like I’m curious. Just because I did find your love story on the show. Very compelling. And I’m curious is Shaler still anything’s?
Hayley 37:56 Cricket, I can hear the political.
Shea 38:00 Well, I said nothing. You said it’s political. I said.
Eva 38:04 I know political.
Becca 38:05 I was hoping for yes. Just as strong. Yes. But I guess that’s a no.
Shea 38:10 I think with any figures, it’s complicated. Definitely, I got a whole bunch of DMS about people like Oh, Alex said it was 10 days. How do you how do you fall in love? And I was like this the same way you fall in love and hit 20 years. The way things happen doesn’t complicate the actual process of falling in love it I mean, that’s just the duration of time until we if anyone wants to fall in love one day, why can’t they if they want to fall in love in 50 years? Who’s to say they’re not?
Eva 38:44 I love that answer. Yeah, that was really well said was a good answer.
Becca 38:48 What do you say to the haters when you have that? Honestly, there’s a lot of shows that have you know, even quicker turnaround for love and also I think your experience like bonding in the jungle it sounds like you guys all became faster friends then maybe another more comfy situation?
Shea 39:07 Yeah, I definitely think it’s something that no one like people can relate to until you’re in that situation. And I’ll be the first one to tell you and I used to our watch shows, I’m like, There’s no way and then like my I found my silly but like really really I love on the show and really caring about someone and really building bonds with all these people in the show. And so I get it and it’s so easy to stereotypical to watch the show be like, there’s no way but like, genuinely like I’ve seen everyone on the cast since the show and like, steal tax from communicate, honestly, more than some of like, my friends that I’ve known forever. And so I think like the time thing is a little silly because it’s and it’s just really about what you’re doing in your life and who you’re doing it with and things change.
Gabe 39:51 I do want to say something that my students said about about your relationship was really funny. I died. They asked me there Like, yeah, are Taylor and Shay still together and send their I don’t think the rd where they go. Well Middle School relationships last longer than they did.
Eva 40:10 Middle schoolers are brutal
Becca 40:16 Shea, would you change your decision at the table across from Taylor?
Shea 40:24 I mean, cuz no one knew what was going on in the game I think in that ended like looking back at it like I would Yeah, everything played out absolutely but like in the moment it was just like I was I was tired of it at camp and I feel like I really did everything and sometimes they get like a little heat for like they go you gave you gave Haley’s barber not tailored, I was just like, that was like, a totally different time. And like, we had a lot more conversation like about it. And the way they put it was just like, che like I like I think like you should Taylor’s ago, actually, I think you should have seen the video. And I was like, I agree. And like, there was a lot there was a lot of conversation. But you know, there’s the it could have been worth at it. So
Gabe 41:12 hat that was one of my favorite parts of watching it back was like seeing how they cut down that very long, thoughtful conversation. You guys had to just like, I think actually go, you’re right, I think done. Oh, yeah, I’ll say this. Even like, I’ll go to bat with you on this. from a strategy perspective. That was the best chance that either of you had at winning 100% was the best chance
Shea 41:43 that we were chatting about. I mean, I think he had a chance to win as well.
Eva 41:51 The decision we came up with?
Becca 41:55 Yeah, you all had no idea what was the next step? So I totally get that. And I guess like, Gabe, would you be willing to answer like, that same question of feeling the way you did at the round table or the table across from Aaron, like, how was that experience it? Would you change what you did? Yeah,
Gabe 42:10 yeah, absolutely. Yeah. And like, for me, that is, like, looking back on that conversation. It’s just kind of like how I describe Shay and Taylor situation, like, you go from this really long, thoughtful conversation, and you cut it down, because that’s TV, you know that that’s television. And I look back at that decision, and what I did, and as you watch it back, I should have been able to differentiate the difference between Okay, playing a game and real life. And it was like, Okay, those lines start getting really, really, really close to each other. And those lines start getting blurred. And as I watch it back, and like, all right, I should have realized what was going on, like, help Aaron out, you know, like that. Just you watch it back. And, and I watched it like most other people did, where it’s like, alright, if you look at it through moral lens, yeah, what I did was wrong. If you look at it through a gameplay lens, yeah, I was playing a game. So it’s one of those, it just depends on how you look at it. If I could go back and change it, I would, I definitely would. And, you know, what got cut from the show was when he said, Okay, I’ll go down. I said, alright, we’ll split the money. 5050. That’s fine. When? And, you know,
Becca 43:29 they did not share that part. No, no, they wouldn’t know.
Gabe 43:34 It, you know, they want to make you one dimensional. And they’re good at making you one dimensional. So it is what it is when it comes to the editing. But yeah, if I could go back, I would definitely change how I made that decision. And Erina we’ve talked about it, you know, we’ve talked about it. And you know, it was a year and a half ago, and we had enough time to really process things and then it’s like, yeah, you know, you it was it’s just it’s a strange game, you know, and that goes got blurred between, you know, a reality game show in real life. And I wish I would have approached it differently.
Becca 44:06 I’m glad that you got to set the record straight on the sharing money with him. That’s good to know. And I totally get that and I, I really respect you being honest that you would change your decision. So we all didn’t know. I mean, I’m sitting at the edge of my seat and that scene as a viewer, like, I didn’t I did not know what was gonna happen with anyone. So that was kind of crazy. Oh, guys are crazy.
Hayley 44:30 While we’re on that topic, I feel it only feels right to ask hoping if he would change his mind.
Becca 44:37 Be very careful. Let’s see.
Copan 44:41 No, I wouldn’t have changed my mind on that at all. There’s no way I was taking Haley’s spot on it there now. It is. Gay kind of brought it up to on the gameplay side like yes, personally, I would never do that. But the game was like a very selfless, you know, game you got rewarded by being selfless. So even at that time, it’s like I’m gonna give up my spot I want Hayley has it, but is the game gonna reward me for giving up my spot? You know what I mean? So, you know, definitely would never change anything on that. But at the time, too, it’s like, it kind of was a good gameplay thing because we didn’t know what the next move was, you know. So it’s like, you know, and like I had some buddies, they actually had a great, great idea which I would loved, because it would have been great TV, but they said, they should have said, if everyone or everybody that gave up their spot to go back to camp, they are actually going to the villa. Like that was the twist of game. And I was like, that would have been Whoa, for like, everybody there too. But they were just saying like, you know, you didn’t know that if it happened. You know that it didn’t happen. But if it did happen, you didn’t know that anyways, too. So definitely got your back though. hailstorm
Hayley 45:43 cope, you know, it was mutual. That would have been really fucking cool, though. That would have been crazy.
Copan 45:49 I wish we didn’t match up though. Like, I wish we would have listened to Taylor at the beginning was like don’t get with our people. You know what I mean?
Gabe 45:58 Yeah, it could have been so much different on the conversation from a production standpoint, they must have watched that unfold, and they’re like, perfect.
Hayley 46:06 Perfect. While we have you guys here, our podcast first season was really about our high school experience and all that jazz. So I’d like to ask you a few fever dream diary branded questions if you’d feel ready. The first question this is for everybody. So whoever wants to answer I’m curious what you were like in high school.
Eva 46:36 Fat and nerdy. No, I mean, if I know if I get if we get to choose, I don’t know. I mean, I feel like descriptors you can only like call it like, people like always, you know, there are negative connotations with certain words, but I feel like if you haven’t lived it, and you can’t use it, but it was like my own personal truth. So like, that was definitely when I was in high school. I was super, like a lot more like overweight. I was never really like super healthy. I was like, I was like, a top five people for this international debate team. I was like real nerdy. I like Yeah, I did like yeah, I was cool. I debated for like modern United Nations and like bunch of colleges and stuff for that. Yeah. High school was interesting.
Gabe 47:12 I was a frickin dork. My first my first two and a half years of high school. Like, I look back on pictures. I’m like, what a frickin dork. You were and it was so funny because my brother was a grade older than I was one of my brothers. And he was this freakin stud. Like, handsome, good looking dude. And I was literally the ugly duckling. It was like, oh, there’s John. And there’s his little brother gay, but like, we feel bad for him. And like, I then also hit a growth spurt, and I was so tall, long and goofy. And it was just like, awkward. I toward the end of high school kind of grew into my body a little bit. But there was a good couple of years where and like, it makes you tough. Like, I think everybody should go through a time period where you like, like, you’re as awkward as possible, because it makes you kind of like, find confidence in yourself where you wouldn’t find it in yourself.
Eva 48:08 forged through fire baby.
Copan 48:13 Um, yeah, to know, shocking. I was the exact same way in high school. And now so like, really wasn’t anything different. I think the funny part about high school was just the small town aspect because like, I’m terrible at sports. But when you’re in a small town, like I was the man like I was. And so like, everyone’s like, Oh, coping so good. And looking back. I’m like, I was awful. But you know, you just start in that mindset of it, too. So I was like, Mr. Popular, having a good time, like the main on campus even though like we weren’t good at sports. You know? I guess I wasn’t that’s a we sometimes do because of my twin brother. So we always laugh at that.
Becca 48:48 Fun fact.
Copan 48:50 Yeah, so we do the fever dreams. Every single road trip that we have. We just talked about high school. Oh,
Gabe 48:56 girlfriend’s like, how’s the man on campus? Because we only had five dudes.
Shea 49:01 But you were that guy.
Copan 49:04 You go into the hallways with the kindergarteners. Okay, no big deal. Yes.
Shea 49:12 I went to large high school in Texas. It was like 6000 kids. And I was like the, I would say like, I’m kind of the same way. Like I was goofy. Funny. I was a student body president. I was. I played sports. It was Gatorade runner of the year. And so there was it was cool half. I don’t know. I just really like running and I was just, I think go back to games. Like I got really humbled my freshman year, I was a freshman on varsity. And I got hazed by all the seniors. There are 18 and I’m, I was 13 as a freshman, and so they’re five years older than me. And I mean, you got to go through the humbling experience and then basketball as well. It’s thinking of all these seniors and they’re like, oh, like it’s new. Freshman like, I don’t care if he’s good or not like we’re like, we’re gonna take it to him. And there’s a lot of interesting growing growing pains. But in in that sense, I guess as a freshman, but it was it was a blast. I truly enjoyed it. I was like, go to football games because in Texas football is a huge day. They like we literally they would get off class at two periods early. You do like the big pep rallies. They always just like, I think I think kind of the same guy.
Gabe 50:34 Over here, he’s like, Oh, I was weird and awkward. I was an all American you know.
Becca 50:44 So I mean, our main theme and Haley and ice first season of our podcast was that we both ran for like I was the secretary, I ran for Secretary Haley ran for president. We both lost
Hayley 50:59 I didn’t win at all. But I will say I gave that speech with the same confidence. I’ve given anything in my life. So it is what it is. They just couldn’t handle it.
Shea 51:17 They couldn’t handle it. The only reason I did like the student council was because I wanted to be on announcements because you get out a second period
Becca 51:27 that was awesome, but we didn’t win so
Hayley 51:44 Did you guys get any superlatives in high school? Like in your yearbook? You know how they do best eyes best smile. Were you any of those? I was
Copan 51:52 I was most likely to be remembered.
Becca 51:58 That’s true for all of America
Gabe 52:02 I got I got Best Dressed which really? wasn’t that challenging. And South Dakota? Like fashion sense. You feel like you are crazy. Like no, I’m just not wearing cargo shorts. today.
Eva 52:18 I think I got eyes
Shea 52:24 I don’t think I got any good. yearbook award. I mean, that’s what I’m saying. Like, because I mean, we had like, this guy’s done in the NBA. We had like, the valedictorian was this guy that went to Columbia. They’re one of my best friends. I mean, you I can’t compete with these guys. But I can tell you. I’ll be the funny guy.
Hayley 52:56 I was voted biggest gossip in my high school. And I feel like was it off? No. I was rolling the halls of National High School North someone had to so I don’t even care even if it was all in my own head. I don’t even care.
Becca 53:14 I got most likely to be found in detention. Best smile. So thanks, Mom and Dad for these teeth.
Shea 53:25 let’s see.
Hayley 53:26 Yeah, give it to us. Becca.
Becca 53:30 we all won a superlative guys! Shea, you were president you were most likely to be class president. we’re gonna give him the most loyal the most likely to succeed.
Shea 53:51 I finally got after all these years.
Hayley 53:54 Thank you, Becca. You’re welcome. We’re gonna make this official. We want to see your certificate. We do want to see a photo of all of you from the early 2000s to I don’t know if Haley mentioned that. I haven’t yet. Yeah, I’ll be texting you guys for that for sure. I think you know, just to kind of bring bring us all together. Is there anyone who wants to share something about themselves or about their show that they felt like wasn’t in there
Eva 54:28 I was crying over the crystals. Oh, I don’t know about this while back about crystals. Yeah, me too. I brought a bunch of them to the show. to hand out to people after I got to know them. And I Awesome. Yeah, I know. I was like waiting to get them out when I could like know people’s personalities and be very heartfelt about it. Wow, no, I just had it. It was it’s literally phenomenal. But when I was in the Biller, it was like when they had us corralled up for something. I was like, Hey guys, like we might be like twos. One, two twos. One, two, can I get my Personals and I brought them out and I was like handing them out and I had I didn’t plan on just like the speech. I was like I didn’t, to me, it wasn’t, I was fucking stupid. Of course, it’s for TV like, but in my mind, it wasn’t for TV. So I was I can just meet with my friends. And I’m like handing out these crystals. And I’m like, hoping the sunscreen or they shed like I’m not shy, Cisco, this one’s for you. And like, the exact same time Taylor gets bit by a bug on her finger turns purple and blows up and everybody’s been drinking. And then everybody instead of the whole group like is freaking out because Taylor’s like fingers purple, and I have this like crystals in my hand. And I started crying. And I’m like, because everybody is not even paying attention. And it was really hard. And then everybody feels bad because then I start crying. So everybody gets quiet. But then I started handing on the crystals that just looked like I was crying handing them out. I just wanted to do this once because I think it’s really important because it just like I like went home and I was like, wow, that’s gonna look like there was like the way they’re gonna cut it there. You’re gonna see nothing that happens beforehand. And then it’s just gonna be me walking out there like sobbing in a bikini there. Are you so relieved they caught it? No, I wanted to keep it I can’t I
Becca 56:18 I want to see this.
Hayley 56:20 if it’s a consolation Eva, I keep that crystal next to my bedside. It’s with me on a daily basis. So in my heart, even if it’s not in surviving paradise.
Becca 56:32 Hayley, do you remember what I gave you before you left.
Hayley 56:36 Yes, Becca gave me a coin. I did bring it with me. It said empowered women empower women. And that’s my vibe.
Becca 56:45 that’s like you and Eva. I feel like that’s the vibe. You guys both give on the show? Absolutely. What about
Hayley 56:50 everyone else? Is there anything that you wish made it in? Whether it’s a scene or just like something about your life that you wish people knew that wasn’t on the show?
Copan 57:00 I got one. I got many, but I’m gonna tell my favorite one. Yeah, the day we had boys day at camp. We were just it was so stupid. We did a full workout we were using like stones and like doing a little circuit like ab workout. Then we did spa day, which me and Shay I just remember like soaking our feet in the buckets and like acting like we were like at the spa, like, oh my gosh, like what are the girls doing? Doing that kind of stuff. And then it turned into us like having a heart to hearts around the campfire. And I remember one point it was like, Have you ever been in love before? And like we just all were like crying? And it was like this whole emotional roller coaster of a day. Any day? Yeah, all that stuff. And we just it almost passed out twice. Because he like we just didn’t have food and we’re like, why are we working out? So it was just it was an amazing content that they could have showed and I cannot believe they didn’t show any of it.
Shea 57:51 I want that I want the footage because like Razia caveman like we have like we have like a rock and we’re like lifting up the rock and then like recording each other’s legs and doing push ups and then maybe there’s like
Copan 58:05 your rocky scene that’s amazing.
Shea 58:13 it was crazy. And then we were like dying after and we were all like like straight to Lulu
Becca 58:19 absolutely insane.
Hayley 58:20 Gabe anything you wish made it in? Yeah,
Gabe 58:23 I wish they would have put some more stuff in there like and I guess reality TV like you do what you got to do to make it entertaining. But I wish it would have put some more things up there in me of like, Hey, I was like a normal human being and like made a few friends and like talking positively about wanting to give back locally and whatnot. And they just like twisted it to make a giant piece of shit. And it’s like oh, that’s that that’s not how I remember it. So I wish it would have put a little bit more in there of like, I don’t know, I mean we make good relationships. You know, I made some good relationships and like remember from the start of the show being like yeah, I want to buy a Corvette 100% But I also want to give back local like I want to give back local in South Dakota and and yeah, they framed it a little bit differently than what my intention was. I wish I wish they would have approached that one a little differently but that’s the nature of the beast that’s reality TV is oh oh go ahead when
Shea 59:22 you know when you got there on the bow I know you had a conversation with Justin about the you wanted to get back to Native American kids like the first day you got there and he didn’t put it in
Gabe 59:30 Yeah and like literally the school I teach at is like named after this huge Native American you know figure and South Dakota big deal. And it’s like Oh that sucks out there praying that like that. That’s a bummer but it’s
Hayley 59:51 Yeah, point gave I feel like that’s also why they didn’t put you saving my life in there. They were not trying to paint you as a lifesaver. Let’s
Gabe 59:59 No, that’s what they got.
Becca 1:00:05 So I’ve always thought of you as this like man that saved my friend from a literal disaster. So title drowning least there’s that game. What about you Shea?
Shea 1:00:21 when I was running around the house and the cheetahs who I thought that would be hysterical, like it was just like so random and like, I didn’t know where to put the t shirt on. And I’m just like, running around the house. Like I was going crazy because it just got to the door. It was it was awesome. And then I think and how you know, you can’t put on the show, but like, we didn’t have phones or anything. We didn’t know what was going on like a Miko, but just like a lot of guys are sports fans. And so we had the fall forward series going on really tackling producers, we’re trying to figure out what’s going on. So that you still like I like disconnected we work in the world. And going on to Celtics and warriors and like Yeah. Please, please just give me like, at least four quarters for like, so they can see like how disconnected and how like really remote this whole experience was. But I get it. You got it, you only can show so much. Yeah,
Hayley 1:01:19 I agree. Like we never knew what time it was like just basic things like that, that we take for granted in our lives in the real world. It’s like, it was tough out there not knowing anything going on. So that’s,
Becca 1:01:32 I can’t imagine honestly, you guys, you really are survivors. And in my heart. And I love the show, I really encourage anyone who is watch this whole thing and hasn’t watched the show, go watch the show. Why are you go watch the show. And then I want to know where I can find you all on Instagram, I might follow most of you already. But I want to follow everyone on social media. And also, what are you like, what are your plans for 2024 If we want to round this out hearing what everyone’s up to, I’d love to know,
Eva 1:02:06 my Instagram is LittlemissEva. And I don’t know, I’m gonna I’m trying to work extra hard on some art stuff. I’m working on a poetry book that I’ve been doing for like the past year. So now as I write like a lot of poetry and stuff. So I’ve been putting it together the art. It’s like a compilation of like a bunch of different things that I’ve written over the past six years. And it’s like the evolution of like thought process and where you are in life and stuff. So I think that’s going to be kind of cool, even if it’s just for me, and I’m just trying to figure out Yeah, try to figure what the next steps are but like constantly medically doing art. For me,
Shea 1:02:42 it’s a warning 24 hours is insane. It’s crazy my trying to corral my family, my mom and two of my sisters just moved to Omaha, Nebraska, the middle of nowhere. And then my sister used to 16 She’s still in Houston, living with my grandparents finishing out school. It’s just trying to navigate that and then workwise expanding the business into multiple locations. That’s like a big like thing of mine. And that’s what we’re doing a lot of traveling and not a lot of sleep and to try to make that a reality. And it’s been fun but then also like, you know, go into other things like the social media space is so interesting to me. Because it’s so fun. I find myself doing it all the time for entertainment, so why not try to entertain others well
Becca 1:03:40 Shea, where can we find you on social?

Definitely when I travel go, you know go as many places as I possibly can love our unions with our cast too. So I mean, I definitely want to you know, continue to do random fun trips because we always have a good time when we’re around and you know, any place that we can go I just want to I just want to keep living it up. You know, that’s my main thing.
Hayley 1:04:49 Love that. Gabe, what’s happening for the hot teacher on Tik Tok?
Gabe 1:04:56 Yeah, you can find me on social media and teaching. You know, contrary to what some of the things I’ve read online, they’re like, he’s not really a teacher. It’s like, now I’ve worked in a school for the last seven years. I am in fact a real life teacher. So yeah 2024 gonna keep teaching keep making videos about what it’s like being a teacher and keep rockin and rollin.
Becca 1:05:24 I wonder how you would get away with that? Like, would you be a janitor? That just takes videos? Yeah. Yeah,
Gabe 1:05:30 I don’t know. I think some people aren’t. They don’t think through some of these things. It’s like, how, if I wasn’t a teacher, how do I have hundreds of videos and
Hayley 1:05:41 I saw some of those comments and they just cracked me out. Because I’m like, of all things to say about anybody. Why wouldn’t you believe games a teacher?
Becca 1:05:49 I know. You’re too evil. He’s just too much of a mastermind to possibly be a teacher.
Gabe 1:05:56 Yeah, it’s like, yeah, heaven forbid teachers are competitive.
Becca 1:06:01 Like you’re actually just trying to capitalize on something other than being a teacher.
