Did Hayley and Becca just drop hundreds on tickets to When We Were Young Fest in Las Vegas? DUH! As former emo kids, this is our dream come true and we’re celebrating by pulling our listeners back into the mosh pit with us to relive our first concert experiences. From All-American Rejects to Cheetah Girls, our music taste ran the gamut in high school. Shout out to our parents for driving us all over New England to attend these shows before we could drive.
We also discuss the multilayer drama of the Cheetah Girls saga. Sadly, the girl group we idolized back in the day was torn apart over the years. However, there’s been some “cheetah chatter” online of a possible reunion. We’re keeping our fingers and toes crossed, and in the meantime, we’ll continue listening to Kiely’s sexual liberation anthem on repeat (you’re welcome).
This episode concludes with a special preview into our lifelong goal of producing, directing, and starring in our own version of Rent. We have been obsessed with this musical since long before it was appropriate for us to be watching it. In 2021 we were lucky enough to see Rent together in Boston, and as you can see from our photos, it was an actual dream come true.
